Its primary mission is to unify the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND), the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), prime integrators, SMEs, and academia to move from fragmented innovation to integrated, through-life capability. Unlike traditional trade bodies, TDIC operates as a flat, agile, and practical platform. It is designed to be demand-led, responding directly to signals from DND/CAF while ensuring all activities are aligned with industry revenue streams and tangible sectoral outcomes.
