As UK and Defence respond to the Government Greening Agenda and NZ targets when must Defence Transition towards greener energy and how will they achieve this without impacting on current and future Military Operations.
The conference, taking place on 17 & 18 November 21 at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, will see leaders from Defence Fuels, wider energy sector and academia providing updates on today’s challenges, current & planned programmes and develop thinking to inform the future energy transition.
Lieutenant General Richard Wardlaw (Chief Defence Logistics & Support) and James Clare (Defence Climate Change & Sustainability Director) will open setting the strategic context, this will be followed by responses from Defence Fuels strategy and plans, and state of the nation reports from across the Defence Fuels Community. Day 2 will explore the wider energy transition, innovation, trend implications and opportunities moving forward.
As a physical event there will be plenty of time allocated for networking, visiting the stands and an opportunity to meet more informally as we wrap up day 1 with an evening reception and curry supper.
