University of Southampton launch Defence and Security Mobility DTP Studentship
The University of Southampton have launched their highly anticipated EPSRC Defence and Security Mobility DTP Studentship.
Candidates will pursue a PhD or iPhD route (depending on previous background and experience), in full- or part-time, with up to three years total (unfunded) suspensions in between, around employer, military or police deployment or needs. For the iPhD route, a credit accumulation scheme adds the flexibilities of additional (early) exit qualifications.
Fees: All fees will be paid by EPSRC
Research Training and Support: An allocation £5.25k paid for by EPSRC (administered the University of Southampton)
Stipends/salaries: A limited number of EPSRC stipends (£15,009 pa) will be prioritised for returners to work/transitioners or SME employees. Employees of larger companies would continue to receive their salary from their companies
Additional costs: EPSRC will fund the costs of internships; support for cohort/bespoke training development and delivery; support for facilitation of training attendance by students; cohort building activities, travel and placement expenses.
