The JIG Town Hall was run for the first time as a Virtual Event on the 27th April. Attended by almost 60 representatives and chaired by Air Commodore David Rowland, this event's underlying theme was about maintaining business continuity in the drastically changed circumstances resulting from Covid-19. This virtual session enabled valuable briefings on a wide range of topics, and was well-received.
Alongside updates from the Air Cdre Rowland and TD-Info's MD Phil Williams, on how the MOD and the Defence Industry are adapting to maintain collaboration in the new post-Covid reality, ADS and techUK provided briefings on their recent and planned activities.
Key MOD programmes of work including the Defence and Security Industrial Strategy and MODCloud were highlighted, alongside key JIG status updates from the Skype for Business Federation, IdAM, and JIG Vanguard workstreams.
In a packed agenda, updates were also delivered from the leads for the Delivery Continuity Executive, the ICEF and also Research Technology and Innovation.
Presentations will be made available in due course here.
