Please see below the message (17 March 2020) from Nick Lindley, Director, Symposia at Shrivenham who work with TD-Info to facilitate bookings and the conference facilities for Defence Information.
A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF SYMPOSIA
I am sorry to have to inform you that in conjunction with Team Defence we have decided to cancel this year’s Team Defence Information event at STEAM over 1-2 April. In the light of government advice that people should avoid non-essential travel, work from home where they can, and avoid such venues as pubs, clubs and theatres, it is simply unsustainable to push ahead with the event. This is a disappointment, particularly after so much time and effort has been put into making it happen. We are grateful for all the support that speakers, exhibitors and delegates have made.
Dates for the event in 2021 have been agreed as 24-25 March. If you wish to transfer your current booking from this year to the next, please let Caroline Dawson know by e-mail not later than 1 April. Where no such instruction has been received we will arrange a full refund as quickly as we are able from this date. Clearly this will take some time and we thank you in advance for your patience with this.
Finally, we would like to offer our further thanks for your understanding over the uncertainty surrounding the event in recent days.
Director, Symposia at Shrivenham

DI20 Keynote speaker MOD CIO Charlie Forte recently said, “We acknowledge that there is a huge amount of transformation taking place, not just in D&IT but across the whole of Defence. As many of you will be aware, there are three basic aims for MOD across these transformation programmes to: Mobilise, Modernise and Transform. Therefore, transformation is not only focused on the D&IT Transformation Programme but on providing PanDefence Capability, to which D&IT Transformation is a key enabler as some of our projects unlock the ability for other functions to realise their own transformational ambitions.” [ISSue 12 (July 2019) article in full here.
