SUMMARY:Natural Capital & Infrastructure Community of Practice
DESCRIPTION:The Natural Capital & Infrastructure (NC&I) Community of Practice \nThe topic \nTeam Defence has defined this in a Defence enterprise perspective as looking and focusing on Natural capital\, which is the world’s stock of natural resources\, which includes geology\, soils\, air\, water\, and all living organisms. Some natural capital assets provide people with free goods and services\, often called ecosystem services and Infrastructure – the basic physical and organisational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings\, roads\, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. \nHow we operate \n\nOur community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern\, a set of problems\, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfil both individual and group goals.\nCommunities of practice often focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge to advance a domain of professional practice. Interaction on an ongoing basis is an important part of this.\nOur community of practice relies on face-to-face meetings as well as web-based collaborative environments to communicate\, connect and conduct community activities.\n\nWhy get involved? \nYour contribution will enable you to understand the direction of travel from within Defence\, shape\, influence and assist MOD in its future direction for Natural Capital & Infrastructure. There is also a connection to work as part of a team with equally capable and knowledgeable organisations within Defence and the wider digital community. This is an opportunity for wider industry experience and best practice to be showcased within the Defence environment. \nThis will enable: \n\nUnderstanding of how focus areas will interact to realise a future end state.\nArticulation of requirements for capability across the enterprise\nDevelopment of capability roadmaps\nAlignment\, pull through and learning from representative capabilities.\n\nAssessment of potential solutions and recommendations for future development \nThe next meeting for the NC&I Cop will be taking place on 4th March 2026. This will be a hybrid meeting taking place In-person at TD-Info Office\, Rudgeway and Virtually via MS Teams (Teams link received upon registration) \nEion Bailey is the TD-Info lead for this CoP \nPlease contact Kelly Gough if you have any question regarding registration. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nAgenda

An era in which we will deter the threats by sustaining warfighting readiness and strengthening security in the Euro-Atlantic. The DIS has committed to REFORM procurement\, INNOVATE at wartime pace\, and GROW the industrial base. As a key part of this reform\, MOD is committed to ‘deliver digitally enabled acquisition’. \nThe Digital Engineering ‘26 conference\, 10-11 March 2026 in Bristol\, will provide a unique platform for Defence Leaders to share the vision for digitally enabled acquisition and the key elements that require reform for new requirements to be ‘Born Digital’ and digitally enabled through life. Digital Engineering is at the core of this reform and the conference will focus expert panels from across government\, MOD\, Industry and academia to address the challenges. Join us at DE’26 to work together sharing knowledge\, skills and experience to improve the Digital Engineering contribution to the new era of UK Defence. \nHowever… This isn’t a conference you sit through… It’s one you experience… Complex challenges don’t need longer talks!  \nThey need sharper thinking\, fresh perspectives\, and real energy in the room. \nThat’s why this year we’ve reimagined the format—replacing traditional lectures with dynamic\, high-impact sessions designed to challenge your thinking\, keep you engaged\, inspired\, and part of the conversation. \nThe Big Idea Talk\nFifteen minutes. One powerful idea. Fast-paced\, focused\, and unforgettable—designed to spark debate\, and give you something you’ll be thinking about long after you leave the room. \nThe Deep Dive Conversation\nA live\, unscripted exchange with leading voices—where ideas are tested\, challenged\, and taken further. Think podcast-style energy\, real-time exchange\, and ideas you can use—fuelled by expert voices and audience interaction. Expect less sitting back…More lean-in moments… \nAnd conversations that stay with you long after the conference ends! \n \n\n\n\n\nSee below for details of the conference themes\, speakers invited and attending and please note the programme is still growing\, this is just a taster – TBC and STC. \nThe programme so far\, watch out for updates!  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nDelegates Register here\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nDelegate Terms & Conditions\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nSponsor/Exhibit here\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nDownload Exhibitor Terms & Conditions\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nView DE26 Agenda Here stc\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nTicket Prices do not include VAT \n\n\n\n\n\nMembers: £600 Both days\, £325 Single day & £100 Virtual\nNon Members: £900 Both days\, £500 Single day & £200 Virtual\nMOD: Free of charge\n\nRemember to book Network Extra (as a sub event). SUMMARY:TD-Info Talks - In Conversation with Andy Start
DESCRIPTION:Andy joined the UK Ministry of Defence from his role as CEO of Capita Public Service\, one of the largest strategic suppliers to UK government. Trained as an engineer\, he spent the first decade of his career as a designer and programme manager in the space business; later moving into organisations such as Airbus\, BAE Systems and Harris Tactical Radio. \nAs the interim National Armaments Director (NAD)\, a position created as part of Defence Reform\, Andy established the National Armaments Director Group\, bringing together the teams responsible for developing\, delivering sustaining\, housing and harbouring the UK’s ‘national arsenal’ and defence estate. Using his experience as DE&S CEO\, Andy’s role ensured a smooth stand-up of the group whilst recruitment for the permanent appointment took place. With the permanent NAD now appointed\, Andy is remaining to support him as Deputy NAD for the first few months of his tenure. \nJoin us on the 18th March at 1430 for a discussion on career navigation\, the future of the NAD\, and what lays ahead for Defence more widely! \n18th March 2026\, 14:30-16:00 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister here
