SUMMARY:TD-Info Town Hall Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The TD-Info town halls provide an opportunity for our community\, both MoD and Industry to meet and discuss the topics du jour. The September townhall will allow our 1* Exec team to brief on their activities(See below) in the round as they link to our 3* Board’s areas of focus. \nIt will also allow us to plan for the end of year town hall when one of our aforementioned 3*s\, Vice Admiral Andy Kyte\, CDLS\, will take the lead in updating progress against key topics such as supply chain resilience and Business Modernisation for Support. \nThe Team Defence Executive Team operate monthly sessions which will look to support and mature opportunities and guide the broad portfolio of Team Defence Activities\, so they align with the strategic direction and focus set by the Team Defence Strategy Group. \nThe next Townhall will take place on 13th February 2025 at Thornbury Acc in the Severnside Suite. \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\nRegister here

DESCRIPTION:TD-Info are running a series of Showcasing Events on behalf of our members over the coming months\, initially designed to help our SME (small to medium sized enterprise) community to demonstrate their organisations’ capabilities. SUMMARY:Natural Capital & Infrastructure Community of Practice
DESCRIPTION:The Natural Capital & Infrastructure (NC&I) Community of Practice \nThe topic \nTeam Defence has defined this in a Defence enterprise perspective as looking and focusing on Natural capital\, which is the world’s stock of natural resources\, which includes geology\, soils\, air\, water\, and all living organisms. Some natural capital assets provide people with free goods and services\, often called ecosystem services and Infrastructure – the basic physical and organisational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings\, roads\, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. \nHow we operate \n\nOur community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern\, a set of problems\, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfil both individual and group goals.\nCommunities of practice often focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge to advance a domain of professional practice. Interaction on an ongoing basis is an important part of this.\nOur community of practice relies on face-to-face meetings as well as web-based collaborative environments to communicate\, connect and conduct community activities.\n\nWhy get involved? \nYour contribution will enable you to understand the direction of travel from within Defence\, shape\, influence and assist MOD in its future direction for Natural Capital & Infrastructure. There is also a connection to work as part of a team with equally capable and knowledgeable organisations within Defence and the wider digital community. This is an opportunity for wider industry experience and best practice to be showcased within the Defence environment. \nThis will enable: \n\nUnderstanding of how focus areas will interact to realise a future end state.\nArticulation of requirements for capability across the enterprise\nDevelopment of capability roadmaps\nAlignment\, pull through and learning from representative capabilities.\n\nAssessment of potential solutions and recommendations for future development \nThe next meeting for the NC&I Cop will be taking place on 30th April 2024.
