SUMMARY:Natural Capital & Infrastructure Community of Practice
DESCRIPTION:The Natural Capital & Infrastructure (NC&I) Community of Practice \nThe topic \nTeam Defence has defined this in a Defence enterprise perspective as looking and focusing on Natural capital\, which is the world’s stock of natural resources\, which includes geology\, soils\, air\, water\, and all living organisms. Some natural capital assets provide people with free goods and services\, often called ecosystem services and Infrastructure – the basic physical and organisational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings\, roads\, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. \nHow we operate \n\nOur community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern\, a set of problems\, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfil both individual and group goals.\nCommunities of practice often focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge to advance a domain of professional practice. Interaction on an ongoing basis is an important part of this.\nOur community of practice relies on face-to-face meetings as well as web-based collaborative environments to communicate\, connect and conduct community activities.\n\nWhy get involved? \nYour contribution will enable you to understand the direction of travel from within Defence\, shape\, influence and assist MOD in its future direction for Natural Capital & Infrastructure. There is also a connection to work as part of a team with equally capable and knowledgeable organisations within Defence and the wider digital community. This is an opportunity for wider industry experience and best practice to be showcased within the Defence environment. \nThis will enable: \n\nUnderstanding of how focus areas will interact to realise a future end state.\nArticulation of requirements for capability across the enterprise\nDevelopment of capability roadmaps\nAlignment\, pull through and learning from representative capabilities.\n\nAssessment of potential solutions and recommendations for future development \nThe next meeting for the NC&I Cop will be taking place on 4th March 2026. This will be a hybrid meeting taking place In-person at TD-Info Office\, Rudgeway and Virtually via MS Teams (Teams link received upon registration) \nEion Bailey is the TD-Info lead for this CoP \nPlease contact Kelly Gough if you have any question regarding registration. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nAgenda

SUMMARY:ICEF/Information Security Forum
DESCRIPTION:This meeting will cover the agendas for both the ICEF and the Information Security Forum. \nThe four ICEF face-to-face meetings that were previously held at MOD Corsham will\, from the beginning of 2026\, be incorporated instead into the ISF meetings held at Team Defence Information’s offices in Rudgeway\, Bristol and online. The intervening four ICEF meetings will continue through TEAMS. \nThe ICEF fulfils two roles: it represents the interests of industry consumers of MOD information and\, secondly\, acts as an advisory change management board for those users of MOD products and services operating outside the MOD estate. Organisationally\, the ICEF is managed under the TD-Info Delivery Continuity Executive and reports to TD-Info MD. \nThe ICEF brings together individuals from Industry partners who have day-to-day responsibility for using – or managing the provision of – MOD-delivered services. This function is managed collaboratively with representatives from the MOD Defence Digital Customer Management team responsible for ‘Indirect’ (i.e. non-MOD) customers. Defence Digital (DD) recognises that Industry represents a significant proportion – roughly one third – of total users of DD-delivered IS/IT. Taking a risk management approach\, the ICEF identifies opportunities to improve awareness of\, and mitigation for\, availability issues that might impact adversely on Defence outcomes. \nThe TD-Info ICEF lead: \n\nmanages a 6-weekly (approx..) rhythm of meetings for ICEF members\nliaises\, as Industry representative on the MOD 1* Customer Board\nconducts a regular drumbeat with DD ACOS Plans and Customer Services team\nprioritises risks/issues affecting suppliers’ ability to deliver against agreed contracts\nidentifies mitigation activities for MOD consideration.\nMaintains the ICEF risk register\npublishes services-to-industry product descriptions and supporting management processes\n\nIn support of the DCE\, the ICEF lead manages the change process for MOD-originated information services. Specific activities include: \n\nimproving awareness of planned changes to MOD-supplied information flows\, applications\, products and services for the Industry customer\nidentify potential impact on industry and work with MOD ICEF members to identify options for mitigating the consequences of the proposed (or executed) change\nco-ordinate industry inputs and manage the resolution of unplanned/unforeseen events that impact project delivery\nescalate major issues or observations to the DD Customer Board and/or DD ACOS Plans. Conversely risks or issues may also be escalated to the DSF via the DCE\n\nThe purpose of the Information Security Forum (ISF) is to provide better ways of working securely across Team Defence by identifying key issues and agreeing on common approaches to resolution by sharing good practice\, collaborating on accreditation standards\, providing a practical (and compliant) interpretation of Government policy\, and sharing event and near-miss data. \nThe ISF collaboratively develops guidance\, influences policy and communicates key messages to members and\, where appropriate\, broader stakeholders on Information Security and Assurance matters. \nThis meeting will be held In-person at TD-Info Offices and virtually using Microsoft Teams. Group members will be sent the link to join the meeting. \nThese are both closed groups\, however if you wish to participate or would like further information please contact Andy Corbett

SUMMARY:Integration Working Group Online Session
DESCRIPTION:This will be a online only session running on MS Teams for the IWG Group members 1000 – 1200 on Thursday 23rd October 2025. Please register using the registration button on this page.  \nA group of IWG members met at DSEI on Tuesday 10 Sep 2025. This illuminating session was attended by a large number of group members – and others – attending DSEI. Led by our co-chairs\, Air Cdre Rich Yates (MOD\, Dep Director Transformation\, Cyber & Specialist Operations Command (CSOC)) and Chris Parker (Industry\, Director Government\, Fortinet) and joined by Col Howard Tweedie from the Military Strategic Headquarters. \nIn his keynote\, Maj Gen Zac Stenning (Director Strategy CSOC) gave a thorough overview of the new strategy which led to a lively engagement with the audience through a candid Q&A. \nIWG deductions from the session: \n\nThere is a need for clear\, agreed digital taxonomy to help cohere change. (TDI IWG to lead this output).\nAwareness to be enhanced for all existing and imminent novel technology to enable rapid capability uplift. (TDI IWG started this in 2025 with the capability sets initiative and will help drive this forward).\nAccess improved – especially for Micro+SMEs. A new portal is to be announced soon to help this. (MOD very aware of this need from member feedback).\nAccountability needs to be clearer – shared responsibility for capability uplift/evolution and efficiency measures to build long term trust. (TDI IWG to support this work).\n\n  \nA survey of IWG members will follow soon to develop the actions needed to maintain pace and actively support the transformation underway in UK Defence. \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister here

SUMMARY:Expression of Interest - Land Autonomous Collaborative Platform Industry Day
DESCRIPTION:Expression of Interest will close 1159 on 11th August\nIntroduction\nThe British Army is pleased to invite you to apply to participate in the Land Autonomous Collaborative Platform (LACP) industry workshops\, which will take place on 21 August 2025 at the Defence BattleLab Dorset. This in-person only collaborative event reinforces Defence’s transformative relationship with industry to support the Army’s modernisation efforts. This Army event is a progression on the National Armaments Director Group engagement (13-14 Aug 25) and will focus specifically on the LACP problem set.\n The ‘Problem’ \nThe British Army seeks to develop an Uncrewed Air System (UAS) to pair with the Apache AH-64E attack helicopter as an ACP. The ACP will operate in a highly autonomous\, ‘commanded not controlled’ manner to perform multi-mission tasks in contested battlespace\, including reconnaissance\, target acquisition\, strike\, countermeasure defeat\, and integration with Launched Effects (LE). The ACP will enhance the lethality and survivability of the crewed platform and do so with a smaller logistic footprint and lower maintenance requirement relative to the crewed platform. \nFocus areas\nThese workshops are a key opportunity for Defence stakeholders to engage with industry partners to explore innovative and novel solutions that leverage advancements in autonomy\, modularity\, and manufacturing scalability. The Army is seeking to develop understanding of technology readiness and industrial capability to inform the User Requirements. Areas of interest include\, but are not limited to:\n\nUncrewed Air Systems (UAS) – A system including the platform\, the supporting network and equipment. A Vertical Take-off and Landing (VToL) UAS able to carry c.200kg+ payloads are most likely to satisfy the operational use case.\nAutonomous systems – Solutions that enable varying levels of autonomy\, or the fully autonomous command and control of UAS. Transversal capabilities such as AI-based decision making\, digital twins\, synthetic environment\, digital\, data and security standards.\nCertification and regulation – working with civilian and military regulators to navigate regulatory challenges and support industries to test and evaluate platforms.\nSystem integration – the challenges of integrating a system of systems and the adoption of modularity.\nModular payloads.\nOther Defence Lines of Development (DLoDs) considerations to include safety\, communications\, cyber\, navigation\, interoperability.\n\nIndustry Engagement Approach\nConduct of the day will be a collaborative endeavour with United Kingdom Defence Innovation (UKDI)\, Defence & Security Accelerator (DASA)\, Futures Lab and Dstl supported by Team Defence Information. The event will be hosted at the Defence BattleLab where military challenges intersect with industry solutions. To cohere the day’s interaction\, three core workshops are planned with additional scope to accommodate emergent topics through the day.\nWorkshop 1 – Platforms – the Uncrewed Air System (UAS)\nWorkshop 2 – Autonomy solutions\nWorkshop 3 – Integration\, comms and navigation systems.\nPlease note: There are physical restraints on the numbers of participants so do not delay in registering your interest\, successful attendees will be notified on 12th August \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nExpression of Interest

SUMMARY:Natural Capital & Infrastructure Community of Practice Launch
\n Your contribution will enable you to understand the direction of travel from within Defence\, shape\, influence and assist MOD in its future direction for Natural Capital & Infrastructure. There is also a connection to work as part of a team with equally capable and knowledgeable organisations within Defence and the wider digital community. This is an opportunity for wider industry experience and best practice to be showcased within the Defence environment. \nThis will enable: \n\nUnderstanding of how focus areas will interact to realise a future end state.\nArticulation of requirements for capability across the enterprise\nDevelopment of capability roadmaps\nAlignment\, pull through and learning from representative capabilities.\n\nAssessment of potential solutions and recommendations for future development \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nAgenda
