SUMMARY:ICEF/Information Security Forum
DESCRIPTION:This meeting will cover the agendas for both the ICEF and the Information Security Forum. \nThe four ICEF face-to-face meetings that were previously held at MOD Corsham will\, from the beginning of 2026\, be incorporated instead into the ISF meetings held at Team Defence Information’s offices in Rudgeway\, Bristol and online. The intervening four ICEF meetings will continue through TEAMS. \nThe ICEF fulfils two roles: it represents the interests of industry consumers of MOD information and\, secondly\, acts as an advisory change management board for those users of MOD products and services operating outside the MOD estate. Organisationally\, the ICEF is managed under the TD-Info Delivery Continuity Executive and reports to TD-Info MD. \nThe ICEF brings together individuals from Industry partners who have day-to-day responsibility for using – or managing the provision of – MOD-delivered services. This function is managed collaboratively with representatives from the MOD Defence Digital Customer Management team responsible for ‘Indirect’ (i.e. non-MOD) customers. Defence Digital (DD) recognises that Industry represents a significant proportion – roughly one third – of total users of DD-delivered IS/IT. Taking a risk management approach\, the ICEF identifies opportunities to improve awareness of\, and mitigation for\, availability issues that might impact adversely on Defence outcomes. \nThe TD-Info ICEF lead: \n\nmanages a 6-weekly (approx..) rhythm of meetings for ICEF members\nliaises\, as Industry representative on the MOD 1* Customer Board\nconducts a regular drumbeat with DD ACOS Plans and Customer Services team\nprioritises risks/issues affecting suppliers’ ability to deliver against agreed contracts\nidentifies mitigation activities for MOD consideration.\nMaintains the ICEF risk register\npublishes services-to-industry product descriptions and supporting management processes\n\nIn support of the DCE\, the ICEF lead manages the change process for MOD-originated information services. Specific activities include: \n\nimproving awareness of planned changes to MOD-supplied information flows\, applications\, products and services for the Industry customer\nidentify potential impact on industry and work with MOD ICEF members to identify options for mitigating the consequences of the proposed (or executed) change\nco-ordinate industry inputs and manage the resolution of unplanned/unforeseen events that impact project delivery\nescalate major issues or observations to the DD Customer Board and/or DD ACOS Plans. Conversely risks or issues may also be escalated to the DSF via the DCE\n\nThe purpose of the Information Security Forum (ISF) is to provide better ways of working securely across Team Defence by identifying key issues and agreeing on common approaches to resolution by sharing good practice\, collaborating on accreditation standards\, providing a practical (and compliant) interpretation of Government policy\, and sharing event and near-miss data. \nThe ISF collaboratively develops guidance\, influences policy and communicates key messages to members and\, where appropriate\, broader stakeholders on Information Security and Assurance matters. \nThis meeting will be held In-person at TD-Info Offices and virtually using Microsoft Teams. Group members will be sent the link to join the meeting. \nThese are both closed groups\, however if you wish to participate or would like further information please contact Andy Corbett

SUMMARY:Critical Raw Materials for Defence: Online Snack Series - Session 10
DESCRIPTION:The recent Critical Raw Materials for Defence Report we published\, outlines a proposed framework for enhancing Critical Raw Materials resilience in the UK Defence sector through circular economy principles and recycling. Our aim was to contribute to the development of the UK’s industrial strategy and ensure Defence has a strong voice in this important area. As the financial settlement process moves forward\, we’re keen to keep the conversation active. \nJoin us for the Snack Series—a rapid-fire set of expert-led sessions that dive into the most urgent challenges and strategic opportunities across the UK’s critical materials ecosystem. \nFrom policy to platforms\, e-waste to innovation funding\, this series brings together voices across government\, industry\, and academia to shape a more circular\, resilient\, and sovereign defence future. \nWhy Attend?• Get insights into policy\, innovation\, and supply chain resilience• Hear from leaders shaping the future of defence and critical materials• Connect across disciplines—from recyclers and researchers to strategists and policymakers \nEach session features a 20-minute presentation from leading organisations\, followed by a 40-minute panel Q&A. Sessions will explore:• Global supply chain risks• UK capability and innovation• Priority Defence use cases \nContent will focus on real insights and lessons—not sales pitches—with case studies encouraged. No prior defence knowledge required; many challenges are cross-sector. \nWhy It MattersNew mining is costly\, slow\, and environmentally challenging. Reclaiming materials from end-of-life equipment could offer a faster\, cheaper\, and greener path. Let’s mine our waste—not the planet. \nGet Involved \nJoin the conversation. Shape the future. Spread the word. \nWant to stay informed or take part? Sign up now to receive invites and materials \nBy signing up you will receive diary invites to these sessions and will also receive invites to any subsequent workstreams/presentations. \nIf you would like further information please contact steve.green@teamdefence.info \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister here

DESCRIPTION:This meeting will cover the agendas for both the ICEF and the Information Security Forum.

SUMMARY:Natural Capital & Infrastructure Community of Practice
DESCRIPTION:The Natural Capital & Infrastructure (NC&I) Community of Practice \nThe topic \nTeam Defence has defined this in a Defence enterprise perspective as looking and focusing on Natural capital\, which is the world’s stock of natural resources\, which includes geology\, soils\, air\, water\, and all living organisms. Some natural capital assets provide people with free goods and services\, often called ecosystem services and Infrastructure – the basic physical and organisational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings\, roads\, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. \nHow we operate \n\nOur community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern\, a set of problems\, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfil both individual and group goals.\nCommunities of practice often focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge to advance a domain of professional practice. Interaction on an ongoing basis is an important part of this.\nOur community of practice relies on face-to-face meetings as well as web-based collaborative environments to communicate\, connect and conduct community activities.\n\nWhy get involved? \nYour contribution will enable you to understand the direction of travel from within Defence\, shape\, influence and assist MOD in its future direction for Natural Capital & Infrastructure. There is also a connection to work as part of a team with equally capable and knowledgeable organisations within Defence and the wider digital community. This is an opportunity for wider industry experience and best practice to be showcased within the Defence environment. \nThis will enable: \n\nUnderstanding of how focus areas will interact to realise a future end state.\nArticulation of requirements for capability across the enterprise\nDevelopment of capability roadmaps\nAlignment\, pull through and learning from representative capabilities.\n\nAssessment of potential solutions and recommendations for future development \nThe next meeting for the NC&I Cop will be taking place on 30th September 2026. This will be a hybrid meeting taking place In-person at TD-Info Office\, Rudgeway and Virtually via MS Teams (Teams link received upon registration) \nEion Bailey is the TD-Info lead for this CoP \nPlease contact Kelly Gough if you have any question regarding registration. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister
