SUMMARY:MOD IPS Transition Working Group
DESCRIPTION:This sub working group is open to all interested parties that would like the opportunity to assist the Ministry of Defence transition to IPS and the ASD S-Series. There will be some complicated issues to discuss and resolve that would not likely be possible without the collective mindset and experience from the members of TDI. This sub working group will be held on a regular basis and will be fundamental to the MOD transition from ILS to IPS by September 2024. However this will not be a talking shop for any perceived issues or wished technical amendments to the ASD S-Series\, its focus is solely on MOD adoption. Ryan Griffin (MOD IPS Transition Project Manager) and Mark Willis (CDS Defence & Security) will be the respective MOD and industry chairs. \nPlease contact Leyton Lark for further information. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister here

SUMMARY:Natural Capital & Infrastructure Community of Practice Launch
DESCRIPTION:The Natural Capital & Infrastructure (NC&I) Community of Practice \nThe topic \nTeam Defence has defined this in a Defence enterprise perspective as looking and focusing on Natural capital\, which is the world’s stock of natural resources\, which includes geology\, soils\, air\, water\, and all living organisms. Some natural capital assets provide people with free goods and services\, often called ecosystem services and Infrastructure – the basic physical and organisational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings\, roads\, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. \nHow we operate \n\nOur community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern\, a set of problems\, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfil both individual and group goals.\nCommunities of practice often focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge to advance a domain of professional practice. Interaction on an ongoing basis is an important part of this.\nOur community of practice relies on face-to-face meetings as well as web-based collaborative environments to communicate\, connect and conduct community activities.\n\nWhy get involved? \n Your contribution will enable you to understand the direction of travel from within Defence\, shape\, influence and assist MOD in its future direction for Natural Capital & Infrastructure. There is also a connection to work as part of a team with equally capable and knowledgeable organisations within Defence and the wider digital community. This is an opportunity for wider industry experience and best practice to be showcased within the Defence environment. \nThis will enable: \n\nUnderstanding of how focus areas will interact to realise a future end state.\nArticulation of requirements for capability across the enterprise\nDevelopment of capability roadmaps\nAlignment\, pull through and learning from representative capabilities.\n\nAssessment of potential solutions and recommendations for future development \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nAgenda

SUMMARY:Natural Capital & Infrastructure Community of Practice
\nYour contribution will enable you to understand the direction of travel from within Defence\, shape\, influence and assist MOD in its future direction for Natural Capital & Infrastructure. There is also a connection to work as part of a team with equally capable and knowledgeable organisations within Defence and the wider digital community. This is an opportunity for wider industry experience and best practice to be showcased within the Defence environment. \nThis will enable: \n\nUnderstanding of how focus areas will interact to realise a future end state.\nArticulation of requirements for capability across the enterprise\nDevelopment of capability roadmaps\nAlignment\, pull through and learning from representative capabilities.\n\nAssessment of potential solutions and recommendations for future development \nThe next meeting for the NC&I Cop will be taking place on 30th April 2024. This will be a hybrid meeting taking place In-person at TD-Info Office\, Rudgeway and Virtually via MS Teams (Teams link received upon registration) \nEion Bailey is the TD-Info lead for this CoP \nPlease contact Kelly Gough if you have any question regarding registration. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nAgenda
