SUMMARY:Digital Product Passport (DPP) Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Shape the Future of Defence: Join the Digital Product Passport (DPP) Task Force \nAs global supply chains evolve\, the demand for transparency\, provenance\, and sustainability is shifting from a commercial advantage to a strategic necessity. Driven by the Strategic Defence Review and the Defence Industrial Strategy\, the MoD’s National Armaments Director Group (NAD-Group) is championing a “Born Digital” vision for future acquisition and industry engagement. \nAt the heart of this transformation is the Digital Product Passport (DPP). While DPPs are already revolutionizing civilian sectors like batteries and textiles\, applying them to Defence introduces an entirely different set of rules—balancing sovereign design\, export controls\, and complex multi-tier supply chains against the need for data interoperability. \nTo kickstart this critical initiative\, the Digital Engineering Centre (DEC) and Team Defence Information (TD-Info) invite you to our upcoming launch event. \nEvent Details \n\nWhat: Digital Product Passport Call to Action Webinar\nWhen: 1 July 2026\nObjective: Raise awareness of the task\, outline our 16-to-20-week goals\, and build the collaborative team needed to architect the Defence DPP framework.\n\nHow You Can Contribute: Define Your Role \nWhile our Accountable leadership team is established\, we are actively looking for volunteers from across the defence enterprise to fill vital roles over this 16-to-20-week research cycle. \nResponsible (Authors) \n\nCommitment: ~0.5 to 1 day per week.\nThe Role: We need technical and operational experts to roll up their sleeves and draft specific sections of the technical paper. Help us define data fidelity\, quality assurance\, and where DPPs provide genuine defence value versus through-life cost.\n\nConsulted (Subject Matter Experts & Researchers) \n\nThe Role: Do you have existing research\, real-world case studies\, or operational use cases? We need you to feed into our comprehensive document trawl and cross-sector literature review to ensure our framework is built on proven best practices.\n\nInformed (Stakeholders & Observers) \n\nThe Role: If you want to understand how DPP will impact your future programs but don’t have the capacity to author content\, this is for you. Simply join us for this initial Call to Action webinar\, stay in the loop\, and return for our final Out Brief to exploit the findings.\n\nWhat We Will Achieve Together \nOver the planned 16-week schedule (indicatively running from July to October 2026\, accounting for the summer break)\, the task team will evaluate sector strategies\, quality standards\, and high-level architectural approaches. \n[1 July: Launch Webinar] ➔ [Scope & Bound] ➔ [Literature Review] ➔ [Gap Analysis] ➔ [October: Final Paper & Out Brief] \nOur collective efforts will culminate in a concise technical paper and supporting presentation defining Defence DPP use cases\, engineering constraints\, and strategic recommendations for the enterprise. \nTruly Collaborative\, Fully Open Access \nIn the spirit of genuine sector-wide digital innovation\, this task will operate with an agile\, collaborative approach via regular Teams touchpoints. Crucially\, all final outputs will be published under a Creative Commons license\, ensuring the framework is freely available to be exploited by anyone and everyone across wider industry and academia. \nNote: This research is conducted without commitment or prejudice; it is not an indication of future MoD funding or program intent. \nReady to Secure Your Spot? \nDon’t miss the chance to collaborate with leaders from the MoD\, Rolls Royce Plc\, and the wider defence landscape to establish information continuity for the next generation of capabilities. \nJoin us on 1 July 2026. Register for the webinar via the TD-Info portal or contact Steve Green for directly aligning your organization to a task role \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRegister here

SUMMARY:ICEF/Information Security Forum
DESCRIPTION:This meeting will cover the agendas for both the ICEF and the Information Security Forum. \nThe ICEF fulfils two roles: it represents the interests of industry consumers of MOD information and\, secondly\, acts as an advisory change management board for those users of MOD products and services operating outside the MOD estate. Organisationally\, the ICEF is managed under the TD-Info Delivery Continuity Executive and reports to TD-Info MD. \nThe ICEF brings together individuals from Industry partners who have day-to-day responsibility for using – or managing the provision of – MOD-delivered services. This function is managed collaboratively with representatives from the MOD Defence Digital Customer Management team responsible for ‘Indirect’ (i.e. non-MOD) customers. Defence Digital (DD) recognises that Industry represents a significant proportion – roughly one third – of total users of DD-delivered IS/IT. Taking a risk management approach\, the ICEF identifies opportunities to improve awareness of\, and mitigation for\, availability issues that might impact adversely on Defence outcomes. \nThe TD-Info ICEF lead: \n\nmanages a 6-weekly (approx..) rhythm of meetings for ICEF members\nliaises\, as Industry representative on the MOD 1* Customer Board\nconducts a regular drumbeat with DD ACOS Plans and Customer Services team\nprioritises risks/issues affecting suppliers’ ability to deliver against agreed contracts\nidentifies mitigation activities for MOD consideration.\nMaintains the ICEF risk register\npublishes services-to-industry product descriptions and supporting management processes\n\nIn support of the DCE\, the ICEF lead manages the change process for MOD-originated information services. Specific activities include: \n\nimproving awareness of planned changes to MOD-supplied information flows\, applications\, products and services for the Industry customer\nidentify potential impact on industry and work with MOD ICEF members to identify options for mitigating the consequences of the proposed (or executed) change\nco-ordinate industry inputs and manage the resolution of unplanned/unforeseen events that impact project delivery\nescalate major issues or observations to the DD Customer Board and/or DD ACOS Plans. Conversely risks or issues may also be escalated to the DSF via the DCE\n\nThe purpose of the Information Security Forum (ISF) is to provide better ways of working securely across Team Defence by identifying key issues and agreeing on common approaches to resolution by sharing good practice\, collaborating on accreditation standards\, providing a practical (and compliant) interpretation of Government policy\, and sharing event and near-miss data. \nThe ISF collaboratively develops guidance\, influences policy and communicates key messages to members and\, where appropriate\, broader stakeholders on Information Security and Assurance matters. \nThis meeting will be held In-person at TD-Info Offices and virtually using Microsoft Teams. Group members will be sent the link to join the meeting. \nThese are both closed groups\, however if you wish to participate or would like further information please contact Andy Corbett \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nISF Agenda
