DESCRIPTION:The Natural Capital & Infrastructure (NC&I) Community of Practice \nThe topic \nTeam Defence has defined this in a Defence enterprise perspective as looking and focusing on Natural capital\, which is the world’s stock of natural resources\, which includes geology\, soils\, air\, water\, and all living organisms. Some natural capital assets provide people with free goods and services\, often called ecosystem services and Infrastructure – the basic physical and organisational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings\, roads\, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. \nHow we operate \n\nOur community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern\, a set of problems\, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfil both individual and group goals.\nCommunities of practice often focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge to advance a domain of professional practice. Interaction on an ongoing basis is an important part of this.\nOur community of practice relies on face-to-face meetings as well as web-based collaborative environments to communicate\, connect and conduct community activities.\n\nWhy get involved? \n Your contribution will enable you to understand the direction of travel from within Defence\, shape\, influence and assist MOD in its future direction for Natural Capital & Infrastructure. There is also a connection to work as part of a team with equally capable and knowledgeable organisations within Defence and the wider digital community.
