SUMMARY:Digital Decision Making to Reduce Supply Chain Risk and Improve Resilience
DESCRIPTION:The Integrated Review set out the Government’s current assessment of the major trends that will shape the national security and international environment to 2030[1]. \nIt described the changing nature and distribution of global power and a more competitive and multipolar world. Over the coming decade it identified overarching trends important to the UK and the changing international order: \n\nGeopolitical and economical shifts and the need to operate in 5 global regions\nConstant systemic competition\nRapid technological change\nChallenges requiring collective action\, such as climate change\, biosecurity risks\, terrorism and serious and organised crime\n\nIt is within this socio-economic\, climate changed world the Support Function must create Support Advantage and develop a resilient cost-conscious supply chain capability. \nAim \nThis event will explore ideas on how to exploit technological change and make better use of data to assure logistic support to a globally dispersed force. \nThe outputs and discussions will help develop MOD & Industry networks\, enhance collaboration and uncover new opportunities to shape future Defence Support capability. \nRegistration \nPlaces at the event are limited so please make sure you register. Location is The Engine Shed\, Lincoln University. \nNote: attendance is in person and there is no option for virtual attendance.
