TD-Info Council Dinner - invite only
Tuesday 23rd June 2020
Location : London
Time : 17:00 to 20:00
Team Defence Information hosts twice-yearly invitation-only dinners for senior executives from leading defence companies. These valued and popular informal sessions are held at the RAF Club, London under Chatham House rules to the mutual benefit of MOD and Industry. TD-Info MD Phil Williams co-ordinates each session in conjunction with Dr Jon Hall, Chair of TD-Info (Director at Babcock) and a senior Industry representative on the Defence Suppliers Forum.
Typically, each Council Dinner has a guest, typically a senior MOD figure. The format involves a pre-dinner, group-wide discussion – focused around topics and themes most relevant to the guest. Then, over dinner, these and other relevant defence enterprise aspects are explored in candid conversations. These dinners draw in director-level figures from the defence industry – representing both suppliers such as OEMs, ICT service providers and systems integrators and users of the ICT services supplied through Defence Digital (NB: there are 120,000 Industry users on the MOD network out of a total of approximately 300,000).
TD-Info Council Dinners are a trusted forum for exchanging perspectives and benchmarking on issues that are common to the sector, and serve to support alignment and collaboration, both across Industry in their Supply Chain and Support Network and between Industry and the MOD. These occasions enable networking at the most senior level for the benefit of the defence enterprise as a whole.
No minutes are taken at these sessions, nor is there any reporting on the confidential discussions.
In July 2019, the guest was an MP - Madeline Moon, Chair of the Defence Select Committee and President of the NATO Parliamentary Association. See News Item Council Dinner guest Madeline Moon MP.
