Non-TD-Info Event: Cyber Symposium at Defence Academy
Tuesday 21st - Wednesday 22nd April 2020
Location : Defence Academy Technology School, Shrivenham Swindon, SN6 8LA
Time : 08:30 to 17:00
PURPOSE: The symposium is designed to examine the impact of cyber across the span of military activity including operations, acquisition, security, training and education. It will do this through not only a Science and Technology lens, but also through case studies and an examination of the threat spectrum.
The symposium brings together representatives from across the defence and cyber security sector, Including industry, academia and the military, to hear and discuss the future challenges, how they might be met, and what the associated future requirements may be.
FORMAT: Keynote presentations will set the scene for individual sessions, which are populated by case studies and other presentations. There are then plenary discussions that will allow delegates to question speakers further and develop an active debate on the subject.
The symposium does not seek to develop a consensus; experience suggests that given the diversity of presenters, delegates and perspectives this is rarely possible. Rather it seeks to identify the range of issues and challenges that the sector is working to overcome, such that we might all be better informed and more aware of complementary activities and opportunities for collaboration.
