MOD-Industry Information Skills Collaboration Project - working towards MOD/Industry 'SQEP Exchanges'
This news story has been archived
Defence has challenges when it comes to finding and retaining Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP). Join in the activities undertaken by this JIG-sponsored project on MOD-Industry Information Skills Collaboration to add your inputs to the creation of a set of principles and, subsequently procedures, that would enable exchange of SQEP between Government and Industry
There has been an initial MOD/Industry Skills workshop and JIG CAP approved in October 2017 .
The next opportunity to develop the project’s outcomes is on 5 December 2017 at TD-Info’s Briarlands office (BS35 3QH). Considerations at this session include:
- Understand appetite within Industry to support critical manpower shortages in MOD (and vice versa) and identify mechanisms to enable seamless transfer from one group to the other (alongside attendant risks, issues and/or concerns)
- Recommend roles/responsibilities/functions in-scope for project – corresponding with existing frameworks (e.g. SFIA/CILIP) and noting role attribute (e.g. SQEP, trust/clearances (vetting?) requirements.
- Business (costs/benefit) analysis – from both MOD and Industry’s perspectives.
