The TD-Info Excellence Award competition is open to MOD and industry teams (including hybrids of both) or individual entrants within a broad scope of 'demonstrating improvements - or potential improvements - to collaboration across defence'. DEADLINE for Entry Form: 31 January 2018. All finalists win 2 attendee places and an Exhibition Stand to showcase their entries in the TD-Info Good Practice Market Place at Defence Information 2018 Event, 18 & 19 April. Visit to the Rolls-Royce IT innovations Lab, Derby

This was a stimulating and insightful visit to the Rolls-Royce IT Innovation Lab, at their Derby site. The session included a tour of the facility with background as to its aims and uses, the Design Thinking approach influenced by that of the Stanford d.school; participation in a Design workshop and examples of how the Lab is being put to good effect. Many thanks to member Rolls-Royce for their warm hospitality, the tour and insights, and for making the facilities available for a meeting of the TD-Info Joint Information Group (JIG) Engagement Team.  more

Maritime Support Information Exploitation (MarSIX) Strategy paper available

Titled "Maritime Support Information Exploitation (MarSIX) Strategy:Enabling, Equipping and Empowering the Support Enterprise through Digital Transformation", this Paper describes the MarSIX concept that brings together design principles of Defence Support Network (Information Services) with other guiding principles, the Common Support Model (CSM) Target Operating Model (TOM) and new capabilities such as New Style of IT Deployed (NSoITD) to provide a direction of travel to guide development of future Engineering Support information based capability.
